Was great when it opened, and I am still a fan of most of the menu. However, The quality and portion of the fish in the fish and chip dishes seems to have deteriorated. The deep fried chocolate bars are still as delicious as ever. The price of the entire menu seems to have creeped up past the point where I dont stop there regularly anymore, but just make it a 2 or 3 times per year treat.

Best place to go! The poutine is the greatest meal in the world. Its topped with a vegetarian gravy! Def best lunch, best dinner, best hangover food, best munchie food and just amazing everything. Love it!

The fish is good but nothing special. The chips, however, are fantastic. And while I don't care for tartar sauce myself, I swear that my companion was ready to propose to the proprietor simply because of her home-made tartar sauce.

We also had a deep-fried Nanaimo bar. Sounds odd, I know, but it was delicious. They also serve deep-fried Mars, Oreo, Snickers and Twix bars. Or you can bring in your own bar and they'll fry it up (but if you're in a hurry, be sure to freeze it, first).

The proprietor is friendly and outgoing, as are the other staff, and the pirate decor is amusing. Seating is limited to a small counter with stools, so don't plan on booking any office parties there.

This is definitely a place to which I'll be returning.
