Horrible......mediocre service (not the staff's fault)......not fresh seafood..........some items bought from Costco......you will get better seafood anywhere.......this place is a tear down, and the owners are obviously treading water until they can sell the location......mac fish burger better..........do not support this place.....it sucks!

The prices are great, the food is fresh because it gets the seafood right off the docks. And it is close to the ferry terminal so get some dinner before you head back to Horseshoe Bay. It is a short walk away!

We have eaten at Nauticals 2 times. The first time we were disappointed by the greasy food. Gave it another chance, the food was horrible. Everything was way over cooked and covered in some goo they called hollandaise. Not going back...

ALWAYS, ALWAYS THE BEST!!! When we want to entertain any of our friends, this is the place to be!!! DEEP FRIED WON TONS !!! Great food, great service and the atmosphere is wonderful. Out on the deck or in the restaurant, always an AWESOME time. OINON BLOOM !! Great food takes time to prepare and well worth the time that it takes. Great lunches and the specials are always worth trying. APPLE CRISP !! TO DIE FOR!!We always respect the TEAM at Nauticals and it comes back 10 fold. Thank you for your fine consistancy.

I normally dont write things like this but Ive never had meal that deserves a bad review more! The one and only time I ever went to Nauticals I had the worst experience that Ive ever had dining establishment! We were a large party of 12 there for a friends birthday. The drinks came reasonably quickly but that is where the service came to a grinding halt! Appys came more than 30 mins later even though we had ordered them at the same time as drinks! The waitress finally came to collect our plates from appys and then came back 25 mins later to tell us that our main course was on its way up. 20 mins later she came out with half of the orders for the table (who had ordered last) and the birthday girl was at our end not eating. She told us the rest would be right out and then 20 mins later when other half of the table had finished she finally admitted that the kitchen had missed our order and was finally just making it!! So more than 2 hours after we arrived we finally got our main courses which we had to inhale as we had reservations for the bowling alley that they were going to give away if we didnt get there. All of us were obviously unhappy and then even more so after we found out that the manager was serving the group across from us!! Not once did he come over to say we are sorry even after one of us confronted the waitress about how upset we all were and how it had ruined our friends birthday! The waitress asked the manager to

Waited approximately 15 minutes after we were seated to receive any sort of service, meanwhile others were seated and had water served (perhaps the fact that it was a large table of ten and the waitress expected a larger tip than our table of three would provide had something to do with). Finally came to take our order and I commented that I thought she had forgotten about us, to which she had numerous excuses. Meals came reasonably quick although she couldn't seem to remember that the empty coffee cup she initially brought to the table needed to be filled with coffee! Finally we were able to get our guest check and we immediately provided her with our credit card....and once again she was gone. About ten minutes later we caught her attention and she said we should go up front, she had our credit card there (and provided us with more excuses as to why she never came back with it). Very poor service considering there were probably four tables of between 2 and 4 people along with one table of ten, and there were two waitresses! Waited 5 minutes at door before greeted, and then once seated, waited 15 minutes for anybody to come by. Prices were much too high, as a very simple halibut dish cost 25$. The food took 50 minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant being slow. Overall, a poor restaurant experiance.

with no apparent line up, however people unwilling to wait up to 50 minutes to recieve food etc.

The food is EXCELLENT, the staff and atmosphere is great. I insist on comeing every time I visit Nanaimo.
