Gina's Mexican Cafe

I am 55 years old and this was the worst meal I have ever had. I felt sick after. The rice tasted like soap and the staff tried to say it was the cilantro. I like cilantro and I know the difference between what it tastes like and soap. It was also very expensive. Avoid this place like the plaque you might live longer.

Best Food Ever! A must if in Nanaimo

Gina's is the best place to eat in Nanaimo hands down. For anyone who eats there on a regular basis knows that the the service is perhaps slower them some places but all the staff are real, not made up big booed bimbos that can't get and order of water right. For the above comment about it being crowded, what do you expect? Is in an old houses living room you dont have a lot of space to work with so dont complane about things you cant change. As for the wedding party, there is a reason why they cant take reservations during the weekend its far to busy and a table of 14 is far to small to warrent special treatment, its wonderful to get married but you shouldn't expect that u are going to get special service, as even the priminister would have to wait in line.

I was very disappointed to phone Gina's today to see if we could reserve a table for 14 on a sunday for our wedding dinner. No special requests, just ordering off the menu. It was our favourite restaurant. They don't take reservations on sunday and they suggested we send someone from our wedding party an hour early to claim a table. Nice.

Awesome food, awesome staff! worth every dollar )

The food is very authentic and very good. The Margarita's are tasty too! We took guest's to Gina's and were slightly embarrassed that the food took an hour and a half to come to our table after ordering. Other than that it is great!

The food was pretty tasty, but the service was terrible
