Crow & Gate Pub

Spectacular, not just the decor and the ambiance but the food as well, I do wish however,they could have a larger selection of British beers on tap. I have lost count how many times my wife and I have visited but ever time the experience has been most enjoyable.

Whenever we have guests we always take them to lunch at the Crow & Gate - a 2 hour drive. Lunch in the garden which was rebuilt in the last year is a very pleasant experience. This pub is superior to many we have visited in the UK. Their food is excellent. The only problem is that one must get there early to get a good seat.

Just returned from a trip to Vancouver Island and now have another must-do every time we're on the Island. The Crow is terrific. Suddenly, we were back on the Salisbury plain in southern England. A pint and Ploughmans and all was right with the world.
